Fishing Trip (Sept 25, 99)

Haven't went fishing for years. Finally there is someone who likes fishing and owns a boat. (Finally someone who likes fishing went through an IPO company. :) The three of us only caught two rock cods that day, but for me the trip was just an excuse to be at the sea. It was great.

"Where's your boss?"

"He probably fell off a cliff."

Rafting again! (July 26, 1999)

My boss doesn't only have the incredible energy to raise 6 kids, but what's more amazing is that he can still have the enerby to also be a water rafting guide! We went to the American River's south fork again and had a blast.

Boss on the left, two of his 6 kids in the middle, two very big kids on the right whom I call my co-workers.

After the trip me and 3 of my co-workers from Belgium went to a wonderful restaurant called "Cliff House" in Folsom city. The view was terrific and so was the food. The Teramisu (kind of like a cholocate cake) made the evening perfect.

Anime Expo '99 (July 16, 1999)

Though the line up was more than 3 hours, being with the company of my favorite RPG series' characters did ease the pain. Can you find Cloud in the picture?

Anaheim was just 6 hours drive away from where I live. Suddenly decided to go to AX this year because a number of my pals like Madman, JK, Naska are gonna be there. With Ohmi carpooling with me the decision was easily made. Upon the news of me going to AX GameOuji decided to fly down there from Seattle also.

AX was nice, but I'm more of a manga fan so I didn't spent much time in any events nor did I take much photos...

Most photos I took were of the terrific members of OCAD. But because of that, access to those pics are limited to those OCAD members only. Sorry!

What is an Anime convention without costume players?

Pokemon fans anyone?

San Francisco Gay Parade (June 29, 1999)

"Why not???" was the juest for being there on the beautiful Sunday. It was certainly an interesting day for me and James (housemate).

The Gay Parade is the largest parade of the year. Extrodinary amount of spectators were there and sometimes the spectators are more interesting than whoever's in the parade. ^_^;

After the parade we went to this new and very large building recently build by Sony called the Metreon. It's a multi screen theater plus other attractions like an IMAX theatre, science exhibition, plus an assortment of different stores like a Sony store with their latest products, and also a Playststion store with tons of games on demo. I rather wonder how they'll earn enough money for such a large and beautifully designed (interior) building.

Rafting on the American River (June 19, 1999)

The one day trip was fantastic. Too bad my camera isn't water proof, so I couldn't take any pictures while we're being bounced around in the rapids. We rode through 21 miles in the south fork of the American River that day, the calms were scenic and the roughs near the end were terrific. So terrific that it managed to bounce me right off from the boat (sitting in front). That was actually very exciting! If it isn't for the fact that you would easily drown for doing so I think that it would be great fun to swim down the rapids with just a life vest, heh heh heh. I'd say that staying alive is still a priority at the moment.

Mystery game

Got a Skuld bug bashing game from a co-worker recently. Check it out! (1.1MB)

RENO (Apr 99)

Had a great time skiing at Boreal, despite the blizzard that froze every inch of my body, but the highlight of the day happened after sunset...

Oh yes, the day ended with a trip to Reno, having been there for the first time (dai hern lei) I was awfully impressed by all the shows and attractions that they put out to attract people to gamble. To me, it's just a fancy reminder that THEY ARE THE WINNERS! ^_^

Though of course, if you don't gamble, then there's definitely a lot to benefit from. A one pound steak only cost 8 bucks! Terrific steak too, very tender. Oh man, the picture's making my mouth water.

Noodle Mania

My noodles finally arrived through surface mail! the box is in terrible condition. Oh well. I don't think anyone would believe me if I told them that I mailed instant noodles from Taiwan to the states. The noodles actually contains a package of real meat so they couldn't import it. Too bad.

LAB AREA (mar '99)

A daily work day involves fooling around with my Sun and Linux boxes, configuring the black box
on the right to do different things, with the main purpose to find bugs before the customers
do.

HOME

My comic collection had once again grown out of the capabilities of my book shelves. Hmm, it would be interesting to see how many comics I have by now. (too scared to count)

Thanks to the projector that Kusama-san sold me, life in our little "office" is never the same.
Also thanks to Bill Gates for adding multi monitor support for Windows 98. ^_^;;;
