Lanzer's Junk box! (2000 - 2001)

Diary (1999)

Wai's Wedding in Oahu (09/29/2001)

Spent a relaxing week in Oahu for attending Wai and Loretta's wedding. Weather was rather cloudy this trip but the climate was perfect. Got to swim with fishes again, and that's all that counts. ^_^; Took lots of photos. Click on the pictures for more.

Taiwan Trip '01 (08/22/2001)

It was time to see dad again in Taipei. This time we even went to the Taiwan aquirium, an extremely impressive aqurium indeed. Click on the picture for more photos.

A very MJ night (08/05/2001)

New to our mahjong crowd, Loretta displayed her incredible talent and luck with one of the biggest hands in mahjong called the "13 Yew".

Nobody displayed more admiration than James, who gave her the winning piece. That'll be 5 dollars and 12 cents. :)

Kee & Rebecca's Wedding (July 15)

My high school buddy Kee Huat is getting married! Congratulations to the newly wedds and best wishes.

While in Vancouver, how can I resist not eating Japanese food? Just look at that big fat juicy salmon sashimi... (-w-)

Anime Expo 2001(July 6)

It's time for Anime Expo again! It's really too bad that this year Charles, Josh and Long cannot make it to AX. Only me and Saka from XD edned up going there, though AX was still fun and interesting. (Click on picture for small report)

The receipe (July 3)

If you like crab, try throwing a live crab in open flames. After seeing it struggling till its grusome death you'll get to enjoy some sweet crab meat with a hint of BBQ taste. Original idea from Saka inspired from watching Cast Away. ^_^;

The chicken is here! (April)

It's Josh's B-day, and upon his request we bought him a chicken suit. Yes, it's a beautiful thing.

Lanzer in Ohio! (Feb 19)

Oh no! I'll be staying in Ohio for about 3 months. "What the hell's in Ohio?", everyone's asking. Well, I wish I can answer such a simple question! Hopefully I'll have a little more than snow capped houses to show.

Derek (Feb 18)

Fay & Kid's B-day (Dec 17)

December 18 is when Fay and Kid both turns 22. There was the birthday dinner, the cutting of the birthday cake, the gift opening, then, there was the cake throwing that Josh sggested since he didn't have a gift for the both of them...

At first a little cake throwing...

soon consumed the two of them.
The rest of the cake was thrown in no time.

Then things got out of hand.
I tried pulling them away, but the beating just got more and more aggresive.

Josh, you shall be remembered for your sacrafice.

Fun with Nokia

Nokia 8290. Complete with custom Ryu and Ken ringing tones. ^_^ Thanks to the infrared software that beams customized music and logo to the phone.

Snow Boarding Trip (Nov 24)

Went to Sierra mountain on the crowded Thanksgiving weekend. Snow wans't that great unfortunately. The boots were giving me fits but at least I got better control and didn't fall as much this time. The best part about going to the mountain is still the sceneary. The fact that I'm there alone is fun enough.

MYSTERY SPOT
SANTA CRUZ, California

(Nov 4) See how I seem taller on the bottom photo? You might think it's because we're standing on uneven surfaces, but you'll see from the pic below that the surface we're standing on is actually tilted on the right.

The "mystery" behind this place is that it shifts your sense of balance. People will lean a few degrees over even when the surface is completely level. The piece of wood I'm standing on is completely level, yet we're standing tilted, as if the piece of wood is pointed uphill. They have built a slanted house where the spot is to enhance the effect. It's a lot of fun. ^__^

Baka Foo (Oct 14)

After the Bobby incident Fay (CP's GF) showed up one night with her new pet hamster. In attempt to re-live the moment? Or was she just... hungry...

Paramount's Great America (Oct 13)

Charles's GF (Fay) got us all free tickets so we spent a day at the park. The place is crowded as hell as usual on a weekend but we had a great time still, of course.

Too bad I don't have my last Great America's photos with me (flash card died), that one had pics of me being attacked by a giant chicken. ^^;

Josh demonstrated the power of his charisma as he mezmorized all the girls with "the face". CP just didn't do too well after the rides stirred him up a little too much. Sorry, CP!

In Memories of Bobby . . . (Oct 12)

Ever since we moved in we've noticed that there is a rat (or rats) in our house. We just started calling him Bobby (generic name) and treated him as part of the family. Bobby would eat from our instant noodles and other stuff in the kitchen cabinet, and once it ate chocolate in my room. But one day, the computer in Long's room was found dead, and it turned out that Bobby took his computer as a hide out, and the motherboard shorted out after Bobby pissed in it. From that point on, it was war between us and bobby...

We bought simple mouse traps before but Bobby never took the bait, and we didn't really care, but after the computer incident, we went out to look for the regular spring loaded mouse trap, when we came across the glue trap... A month had passed and still no signs of Bobby. One day we decided that since Bobby likes chocolate so much, we put some chocolate in one of the traps, and wholala! In half an hour, we've got Bobby.

Josh had PLANS for bobby. He wanted his skeleton, so there's no "humane release" on this capture. We had bobby in a plastic bin an we were thinking of what we can do to Bobby. Some of us were getting quite fond of Bobby, and Long is never into hurting animals, but "the experiment must continue!", said Josh. And we carried out our first experiment - to have a drunken mice. We poured some Vaka into the container, at first Bobby freaked out, then he started slowing down, and was drunk! But we soon found that either rats have no tolerance for alcohol, or Bobby just had too much of it, about half an hour later Bobby started freaking out, shook his head a bit, and slowly he stopped breathing.

The remains of Bobby was taken to the backyard, along side of the dead raven that Josh found, but the next day, Bobby's remains vanished. We searched the neighbourhood looking for a drunken cat but couldn't find one. Some believed that Bobby faked its death, others believed that Bobby rose from its grave, and might very well be pissing inside your computer this very moment...

Milpitas Adventure (Oct 2)

12:30 at night, felt like taking a walk, so I grabbed Josh and we just "walked"... ended up walking across the freeway, checked out various construction sites around the area, and came back at 2am... Zzzz...

Chabot Space & Science Center(Sept 30)

The brand new facility offers a planetarium, a theatre, and of course, various exhibits and weird experiments. As a new facility some sections are not opened yet. Trying to find a clear night to re-visit and check out their telescope.

Extra Pic

Toy Stories (Sept 25)

Heh heh heh heh... Bought two new toys last week. One is the Compaq iPaq handheld PC and the other is the other being the Nokia 8290 cell phone. What makes the cell phone special? It's got an infrared port that let me get on-line with the little handheld PC! ^o^ This is too much fun. The color handheld is a really nice doodling pad too! I'll put a few pics on-line soon. -_^

Both toys are sitting on yet another new toy, a new Wacom tablet. ^^

G-Kit Mania (August)

When I was in Hong Kong back in April I bought two G-kits, from that point on it was all down-hill... Last month I was in Taiwa and I bought a few G-kits for me, Long, and Charles. Next thing you know I was coloring my Mai kit as Long worked on his Claire... ARRGGGHHH! Spent an undisclosed amount of time, wanted to say that I'll never work on another G-kit again but I know I'll be held powerless when I found myself at Kotobukiya at the end of the year.

Nako-chan - Ready made kit, bought in Hong Kong for only $80US. Have to visit HK more often you know... Mai-chan - Shouldn't have went and colorit... spent toooo much time. Claire - Long's beloved character.

Anime Expo 2000 (June 29 - July 3)

Time for anime Expo again! This time we even dropped by Universal Studios and Disneyland.

Details!

June 24 - Rafting in American River middle fork

Yet another rafting trip. Guess everyone's sick of rafting photos so I didn't take any, also because this time the river is at level 4 difficulty so it's better not to bring a camera. Fell in the water once, didn't swim for long luckily. On one of the rapids two of us plus the guide all fell out of the boat, that was rather exciting. ^^;

Sunrise in Milpitas (June 16)

Went absolutely crazy that morning an decided to see the sunrise. It was... the most beautiful thing I've ever seen... (doesn't our photo deserve an Oscar?)

Lanzer in Atlanta (June 3 - 6)

Yet one of many decent sized cities on the east coast, Atlanta isn't much of an exciting city. Just went to the Coca Cola museum, filled my stomach with all sorts of CocaCola brand sodas and drove around the city.

I came to Atlanta to attend the annual Supercomm networking/ communications convention. Not much interesting in terms of new technologies, but as usual the elaborate setup and attractions that many companies setup to gain attention is what makes things entertaining.

Seabright Beach (May 29)

Went to the Seabright beach at Santa Cruse. Activities includes BBQ and human sacrifice.

San Jose Tech Museum (May 28)

Man, New Hampshire was the pitts. Had to do something fun in the weekend, so we went to the Tech Museum after hitting Kinokuniya (bookstore). Long even got his head rendered.

New Hampshire (May 23 - 26)

Needed to attend a test lab in the University of New Hampshire. As quoted from my friend, this place is the "armpit of America". If trees and ponds turn you on, then you'll find this place to be enchanting. Otherwise, count me out on the next trip.

Milano, Italy + Madrid, Spain (May 2 - 10)

Went on to an assignment in Europe.

Here's Lanzer's European Adventure

Lots of pretty photos!

The Hills of Milpitas (April 29)

The hills of Milpitas, Whooo Hoooo!

Went nuts that day and decided to climb a hill. Took my bicycle and went with Josh on an 6 hour journey. ^^; Went pretty late in the afternoon so we had to cut through the trails and head straight up hill at sunset. Haven't felt this physically exhausted in years!

More pictures

Lanzer in Singapore (April 2 - 15)

Went to Singapore on a business trip, met up with Chun and FSC.

Here's a weird little journal

*Bonus Pic!

New Home (Feb, 2000)

After driving for more than half an hour to work for a year I've finally moved closer to work. Now living with 4 other guys (Charles, Josh, Kid, Long) we lead a life that any young anime/manga/game fan had ever dreamed of:
Photos taken in April
6 computers, all networked, 4 great artists pumping out artwork daily. Terrific posters plastered everywhere.

PSX, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2 gaming systems, LD/DVD player, plus a projector.

And of course, the holy ping pong table.

A glace at part of my manga and artbook collection that's in my room.
